Dust: How would you feel if someday in the future someone said you weren’t real, just because no one has seen you in thousands of years?

Dragonfruit: This is insane Papa! You’re telling me, some fictional god is going to come down from wherever the hell they are hiding and use me to make some demigod heroes who will save the world and then run away back to their little thrones and leave me to raise the kids all by myself, and I’m just suppose to let them?

Dust: The ones that choose you yes. It’s a great honor Dragie…

Dragonfruit: Is… is this why dad left?

Dust: Sigh Yes… when I told him about your destiny, he didn’t want that life for you, so he left.

I didn’t blame him. I wanted to run away too, as far as I could. This all sounded like nonsense to me, and if it was true, it was unfair that I would be stuck with this stupid thing. And then have those kids be cursed to have the same fate. I didn’t want that. But something told me no matter how far I ran, I still wouldn’t be able to avoid this… destiny thrown at me.
