Hello! I’ve always wanted to retexture a Sims 4 world into something more colorful, for my alien saves. Could you teach me how to do it or point me in the direction of a good tutorial? I’ve tried to look up some but I didn’t manage to do it right :/ Thank you

The easiest way I can give you tips on how to do your own defaults, is to download defaults by K-Hippie HERE. That way you have the resource numbers for all the terrain textures you need. Then in sims4studio, under tools, create an empty package. With K-Hippie’s terrain files open in a separate s4s window;

each image in the file has image, and data at the top right hand part of the window. Switch to data and copy the instance number.

Then you can switch back to the empty package you created, and under tools again, click game file cruiser. You then want to put the instance number in the box that asks for it, and click [ALL]. The games texture file will appear on the bottom left side of the window. Click on it, and click [ADD TO CURRENT PACKAGE]. You have to do this with every texture you want to replace.

Once you have all the textures in the package you created, you can start exporting the textures and editing them to how you want. Sorry if I didn’t explain it too well. I’m not good at teaching others how to do things ^^;

Yellow! I love your colored trees and ground texture defaults for the world you have. Are you going to share them at some point? Also I wanted to know how you did the grass textures overrides. I can’t seem to find them in S4S.

Yes! I do plan on sharing them. There are a few plants I missed though, and I want to do the buyable plants as well before I share it. Also who knows when we’ll get another world, that might break all my defaults xD. 

As for how I found them, basically I used a terrain default already on modthesims and just modified the textures. So much easier than trying to find them.

So I just found your simblr and I’ve gotta say… I’m in LOVE with your Apple Orchard family! <3 I don't usually follow legacy stories, but I went and backread the entire thing and now I'm in love with your sims <3 Any chance you'll be uploading them to the gallery like you did with the Pies? :D

But yes! They will all be uploaded into the gallery, I just have to ask permission for Artemisia, as all I did was recreate him from Sims 2 to Sims 4. But once I do, they’ll be up there :3.

hey, uh, would you be chill w nonbinary sims for spouses? i kiiinda want to make some… and are the twins gonna double heir or? what if you get more spouses than you need? will you just pick your favorite?

If I get more spouses than I need I’ll just have them have more children :3. I will not let any of these wonderful sims people are making me go to waste because I love that anyone would be willing to do this for me <3.

But absolutely! Nonbinary sims are welcome~ Gen 2 was also nonbinary :3. And yes I think the girls are going to double Heir cus I really can’t decided.
