Dragonfruit: Wait… what do you mean destiny!?

To say I was angry when I found out the truth… would be an understatement. He could have told me before when I was younger, maybe then I would have had more time to deal with the idea. But to suddenly throw it at me, well… I didn’t take it well.

Dust: They chose our family Dragie. Our legacy has always produced strong heroes.

Dragonfruit: You can’t be serious. The stories you told me, they’re just stories dad! There’s no such thing as greek gods and titans. Maybe way back when but they disappeared, there’s no way any of this is true!

Dust: Yes, but that is because beings like him, and the titans never die. But his power was taken away. But as he was cut up he cursed his youngest son, saying that his children too would overthrow him.

Dragonfruit: The gods right? Like Zeus, and Poseidon?

Dust: The very same. Do you remember what happened with them?

Dragonfruit: After each one was born, Kronos ate them right? Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, Poseidon. He ate them all! But his wife tricked him. When baby Zeus was born she fed him a rock and made him eat that instead!

Dust: Very good Dragie! Yes, she fed him a rock, so when baby Zeus was old enough he came back, tricked his father into burping up his siblings who were full grown inside his fathers stomach.

Dragonfruit: Eww….

Dust: And together they did exactly what Kronos had done to Ouranos. They chopped him up into pieces and threw him into tartarus.

It would be a while before he’d tell me the true reason for the stories. But every time he told them, he said this was all 100% true, and that it was important for me specifically to remember everything I could. He got the biggest smile whenever I recalled something perfectly…

Dragonfruit: Were the Titans strong Papa?

I indulged him, even if I had heard him tell the story so many times, he seemed to smile more when I asked questions.

Dust: Oh yea, the youngest one especially. Ouranos turned out to not be such a great father. He threw his other children, the

Hekatonkheires and they Cyclopes into Tartarus–

Dragonfruit: Tartarus was under Gaia… like the underworld?

Dust: Even lower than the underworld, and much worse. So Gaia got her son Kronos’s help, the youngest Titan. And when Ouranos came down to earth to visit his wife. Kronos tricked him, and cut him into pieces so he couldn’t return to the sky.

Dragonfruit: But the sky is still up there isn’t it?

Dust: Once upon a time, there was Gaia and Ouranos. Gaia was known as mother earth, and personified everything that meant. Ouranos was the sky. Together the two created the Titans.

For as long as I could remember, Dad would always tell me this story over and over. I never really asked him why. He just looked so happy reading it to me that I didn’t want to interrupt. He seemed like he went into the story he was telling, like he lived through it or something and I hardly ever saw him that happy. Who was I to stop that right?

But I needn’t have asked anyway… he would tell me eventually.

So yes, this is the story the sims posted previously is going to be for. It’s going to be a 100 Baby Challenge, but also an legacy. You’ll learn more as the story goes on~
