Uh-oh #2

I know, I keep having problems. Hopefully this is the last time cus I’m really annoyed at this point xD. I have no idea hat inside my mods folder is doing it, but whenever I load up and either get to the world screen to pick a family to play, or go to CAS to start a new save, The screen sort of flashes and then like I can hear the game sounds and can click around the screen to which point I hear the sounds of menus opening, but the screen itself is frozen and doesn’t change. I took out my game mods specifically, and nothing that didn’t help, which I’m not surprised that wasn’t what was causing it, as I am really careful at getting update versions of all of those. I don’t even have that many.

BUT I do have a ton of old basic CC, like back from before packs even started coming in old. So I think my best bet at this point is to just start with an empty folder and rebuild it from scratch, and just not get anything old? So we’ll see how that goes xD.

Update

I decided to make a Work-In-Progress page for my EA Hair recolors. It lists all the packs and then a progress bar of how completed I am with them. They all have links, but only the ones that are actually completed will lead anywhere. This will help me keep track of what I still need to do :3.

I have really great news, or at least it’s great to me. But first I want to thank you all for your continued donations, it really means a lot to me that you are all so helpful, and even sharing and reblogging as much as you guys have, have helped me out a great, great deal.

Anyway onto the news, I didn’t really want to mention it earlier because I didn’t want to jinx it, I’m superstitious like that. My dad is a disabled veteran, so when we lost the apartment, he couldn’t afford it on his disability. He found this cheap piece of land in Colorado, which I’ve already mentioned, and we moved out here. Drove 2200 miles, which maxed out our credit cards in gas, and that is why we are struggling so much. Luckily though, he is working with a Veterans help group, who works to house homeless veterans and their families, and today we got a new apartment! The group pays for the rent so we don’t have to, until we are able to get back on our feet. So for 2 years we have this apartment while we build on the land. I was even able to get on someones wifi nearby, so in short I am no longer homeless, it’s really wonderful to feel safe again.

And thank you all again for sticking by me and helping when you could. I love you all!

One last update. I’m nearly done. Unfortunately I’m now sick. I went and babysat my new niece on friday, and one of my brothers foster kids was also sick. Which caused me to get it, cus I always do >> But I’m still working on it, just slowly as I try and get better.

So I have a big followers gift coming soon. I gained a whole bunch from the pack hair recolors I’ve been doing. So I took a break from that to work on a gift. I got a message asking me what my favorite makeup and such was to use on sims, and I promised I’d post a list of everything I like. But as I went through stuff, I realized how old a lot of the makeup I use is. Either it’s not available anymore because the person deleted, I have no idea where to get it because their url has changed. Or it’s stuff I’ve made but weren’t polished enough to share. So instead of a list. I’m recoloring a handful of my favorite makeup items, including skin details, as well as polishing the unshared CC of mine, and I’ll throw that up for a followers gift! It’s going to be really big, because I’m not even halfway done, and there’s so many packages already xD.

So I got nearly finished with this, then loaded up the game and realized I’m an idiot xD. The thing I used to make all the makeup, and a composition method of 3. What that means is, it’s at the highest level of blending, which causes the CAS item to turn greyscale like skin details so that it blends in better with the skin. So I made about 300 makeups for this gift. (Excessive I know). But all of them have too much blending and are greyscale. So the gift is going to be late, as I now have to go through each thing and change the number to 0 on each swatch of each package. Yay.

So, @sixamsims inspired me with all their Dragon Age and Mass Effect posts to make a blog for my own DA/ME playthroughs. I figured, it’d be good to post it, as when I’m not playing TS4 or TS2, I’m usually playing one of those games. Though I don’t really expect anyone here to follow it. I know most of you only follow for my TS4 posts, but I’ll put a link here anyway, cus who knows. Some of you may be interested =P.

I’m sorry for not updating, or answering asks. I’m super sick right now, I have been for days and it doesn’t seem to be letting up. My throat is sore, my voice is gone. I’m congested so badly my head weighs more than I do. So I’ve been staying in bed. I’ll get to doing stuff again when I feel better. Even the toddler stuff hairs were done while sick, so I bet the download isn’t perfect. Anyway, thanks for sticking with me through my absence.

Update: I’m still not any better. I took a whole thing of medicine to completion and there’s no sign of it going away fully. It’s been two weeks and a day now. I’m really frustrated by this. I bought some more medicine, a different kind, but if this doesn’t work I’ll probably give in and go see a doctor, even though I can’t really afford that. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that. But I’ll be playing again as soon as I feel better.

Crap, for some reason, even with max needs, it’s saying one of the apple kids is hungry, and I even fed her despite her hunger being max, and the social worker took her away So I think the save might be glitched. Damnit.
